How Wölffer Estate Vineyard is Helping Keep Our Beaches Clean

Posted by Kasey Chockalingam on

Through partnership with Relic’s Coastal Collaborative Program, Wölffer helps provide resources for a community-driven trash mitigation program.

Relic’s Coastal Collaborative is a community-driven initiative dedicated to reducing coastal pollution. By providing beachgoers with 100% recycled plastic baskets, we empower individuals to take an active role in keeping our beaches free of debris.

This program thrives thanks to the support of local businesses, whose sponsorship enables us to expand our reach and provide the resources needed to sustain these efforts. Partnering with municipal governments, motivated community members, and our incredible sponsors, we’re building a unified effort to preserve and protect our coastlines for future generations.

Wölffer Estate Vineyard, established in 1988 in Sagaponack, NY, is a producer of premium wines and spirits. Renowned for its innovative and sustainable farming, Wölffer combines estate-grown and locally sourced fruit to create high-quality products while embracing a commitment to environmental stewardship.

Starting in April 2024, Wölffer committed to the health of our coastlines by sponsoring a beach cleanup station at Mecox Beach in Bridgehampton. As a sponsor, their support contributes to the maintenance required to keep the station available for community use 365 days a year.

In addition to supporting Relic’s Coastal Collaborative Program just a few miles from their vineyard, Wölffer is a champion of environmentally conscious practices at their vineyard and estate. They uphold certified sustainable operations, utilize solar power, embrace biodegradable products, and actively support native ecosystems. By protecting local land and ensuring quality, Wölffer demonstrates a deep commitment to sustainability beyond our shared mission for cleaner beaches.
