Relic’s Coastal Collaborative is a grassroots initiative aimed at reducing litter and marine debris along Long Island’s shorelines. By offering 100% recycled plastic cleanup baskets at popular beaches, we empower the community to help care for these treasured coastal spaces.

This program is made possible through partnerships with local businesses, dedicated residents, and town governments who work together to expand access to essential cleanup tools and resources across the East End.

Nestled in the heart of Westhampton Beach, Island Surf has been at the core of the East End surf scene for more than 25 years. When Shawn Mett founded the shop, it was the go-to spot for surfboards and gear; it has since grown into a full-fledged beach lifestyle destination, retaining its local charm while becoming a fixture of the town and growing as a brand with its iconic logo seen worldwide. From clothing to skateboards, surf lessons, accessories, and their own Island Surf signature line, the shop is a community staple, outfitting locals and visitors for life on the water since 1998.

In August 2022, Island Surf deepened its commitment to protecting Long Island's coastlines by sponsoring a beach cleanup station at Cupsogue Beach County Park in Westhampton Beach. Thanks to their support, this popular seal-watching destination offers easy, grab-and-go tools for beachgoers and campers to help keep the shoreline clear of litter.

Island Surf has a long-standing tradition of supporting clean water initiatives, working alongside local advocacy groups, and encouraging a culture rooted in stewardship of the ecosystems that define Westhampton's coastal identity. From getting down and dirty reseeding oysters to showing up in full force for a rainy Beach Cleanup, Island Surf inspires the community to get out there, give back, and preserve our environment.

Staying true to its roots, Island Surf continues to pair classic East End surf culture with an active role in community-led conservation efforts. Whether chasing waves, soaking up the sun, or pitching in to keep our beaches clean, Island Surf keeps the spirit of preservation, appreciation, and enjoyment of our natural world alive.
